FAQ - HomeIntel Savings Program

What is HomeIntel?

It's a free service to help PG&E customers save energy and money. HomeIntel consists of Smart Audit, a web app and access to an Energy Coach. PG&E has selected HEA to provide HomeIntel to all PG&E customers. The more you save, the more we're paid by PG&E so we have every incentive to help you save in the most cost effective way.

Are you selling something?

No. We do not sell anything, nor do we get any commissions or referral fees.

Do your savings suggestions require expensive upfront costs?

No, we recommend many no-cost solutions, along with some others that can pay you back soon through bill savings. We focus on unnecessary waste in our users' monthly bills, or what we call “true waste" (like "empty calories"). Many homes are paying for energy use that can be easily avoided if residents only knew the cause. After aiding over 60,000 Californian homes since 2012, we’ve developed a lot of expertise in doing this.

Is my data sold or shared?

Absolutely not. We abide by Department of Energy's security standard called DataGuard. We also go through PG&E's rigorous security and data privacy reviews annually to be part of their partner program.

Where are you located?

HEA is a California corporation located in Los Altos.  Our coaches are or have been long-time California residents.
